How I Can Help

As educators we cannot control factors outside of the schools that effect student learning, such as socio-economic status, family support, health and nutrition, and emotional difficulties. However, we can start at the beginning. Instilling mathematical power must begin at the earliest stages of schooling. This means that elementary teachers must have the appropriate tools and training to make this happen.

I can provide customized mathematics professional development to your teachers in Grades 3-8. As the research shows, teachers don’t participate in math professional development because they don’t find it useful. It is important to survey your teachers to determine the specific math topics they need assistance with, then design and deliver standards based professional development that will spark changes in their classrooms.

Email me to request a survey that will help you determine your teachers’ needs and compare them to your district’s STAR test results. Next, decide what offerings below may work for you.

Consulting Services: If you need assistance analyzing your STAR math results, planning and developing math professional development, or have grade level (3-8) groups that need pedagogical instruction, contact me.
